Psalms of Sonnets

Psalms of Sonnets

Loyalty resides within heartbeats true
Steadfast is the soul who sticks to his word
A place of compassion embraces few

Still psalms sings of tunes you may of heard

A lifetime of inferno blazes hopes
Blacken days twist like tornados in minds
I see clearly at the end of both ropes
Being a weaver of love within rhymes

Standing silently so still I can hear
Those who care like the words they print for peers
Poetry is an art of heart some share
Where the reader can learn from faith or fears

Knowing this truth angels swiftly appear
To show the lighthouse they’ve known to be here

~*~

Blank paper without lines starts a portrait
Aroma lingers where our breathes inhale
Gaze into the eyes of your precious pet
Upon the bluest seas most wish to sail

Don’t be boastful of the things of this earth
And look up high to the mountains above
For once your heart's born there’s still a rebirth
Where angelic eyes see spiritual love

The road to your soul unfolds such beauty
Seen into the night when the lighthouse glows
Rewinding time with the child in me
In the silence of night I knew no woes

Gently wash away all my cares this day
Loving souls the unconditional way

    Echos of Love

The first verse evokes a personal relationship through heartbeats true and a steadfast soul. The second verse links the earthly affection to the celestial Creator and a greater Love. Inspirational!

    LOVE...

Oh...I have love and offer light...am not qualified to make an appraisal of Sonnets as such...form and me...meh...my one grey English brain cell doesn't equate math and poetry...something either sings to the soul or it doesn't...but I stand tall and proudly sing Happy Thanksgiving...Pumpkin pie for everyone...Father..Mother...Sister...Son..the line that spoke to me with the ULTIMATE feeling was " In the silence of night I knew no woes " Oh how happy that entity must be...
