Hidden Agenda

Through these panes of glass,
I see beauty and tranquillity...

Those smiling happy faces,
Comfortable holding of hands.

The sun's rays like new spun gold,
And Autumn's leafy copper carpet...

The diamond dropped cobwebs,

That sparkly with a rainbow spectrum.

The branch-like fingers that reach high,

To the cotton wool clouds of gold and red.

Yet all is not what it seems,
All so unreal and covered up so well.

The things we need to say,

But tend to keep hidden within.

Those trees that cry and weep,

World's poisons they have to endure.

Those fallen leaves that have died so young,

All because of our carelessness...

Planet's cry of to humanity,

We're killing her living soul slowly.

One day she'll hear our last plea,

As we are no more in this once beautiful world...
