Everything

Missing image

He became my freedom
holding tenderly my crystal heart.
Finding each piece
someone else shattered
healing each broken part.

Love's gift is the mending
salvation, understanding.
A stroke of emotions,
vivid passion unfolding
without ever being demanding.

Now I soar heavens skies
as rains of life turned
to angelic tears.
He washed away my fears.

Happiness pure, precious
grows strong with desires.
He's my EVERYTHING until
my old soul expires.

Author notes

I found freedom, love, understanding, salvations, and no fear....

I doubt your "old soul" will ever expire. This is a beautiful hymn to the gifts of real love. You capture the blessing held when a true mate is found wonderfully.
    Love, Tom B.

    Congrats

first and foremost, congrats on the trophy, and secondly what an amazing write. It's full off passion and love and I can see the companionship imagery painted in so many words. You have shown that no matter what happens to your heart, there is always one person who will heal and patch up the holes. Many things happened for reasons, and people enter our lives for other, and this piece explained it well. Great Job

This was very good mom. The emotional scars from another, being placed back together by another. But seemingly grateful for the experience. Congrats on the Bronze as well.

I am glad you took the time to list all the things you are looking for in a partner.
To me the perfect partner would be one that is caring and understanding.

A wonderfully pumped fountain of love here my love. You made an eloquent point about the understanding of love; obediance truly has nothing to do with love. The one you love the most should strive to be your best friend as well, I hope that is what you have found here.

I'm not sure who it was that said, "If you truly love something, set it free", but it rings true here. If you love someone, don't try to change them; after all, the way they are now is what you fell in love with.

    I love you,
    Brazos
