Better I left
But for a moment I just couldn't
figure her out
Back to me
She seemed so free
staring down the hall
Grease banging uniform taps
I looked over my shoulder for a moment
Sirens singing their accusatory tune
I looked back
she was gone
Nothing to say to that
Just a moment to wonder if it was
worth it
the tissue
the look
the smile
the conversation
that was all before the fall
then came being broken
fingers and toes first
a relief from when she dug out
my heart
Her hands colored the kind of red
That comes from a fool that bled
When there was nothing in it
for him
Walking in step was never my joe
And neither was playing games
But I stayed anyway
Even when I should have
let go
Because of the look in her eyes
And that fact that she cheated to win.

woah, this really got to me.
I don't know how to explain how this really made me feel, but it was so real and straight forward.
This to me was an exeptional write considering the picture you were given, and I really liked what came out
Thanks for entering and good luck!
