Drawing her figure just as I remember it
This pulse takes hold and my name I cannot recall
And before we are adjacent a smile you emit
My long lost love, I see you again
You now destroy this soul's den.
I am not mistaken, you have smiled to me
Your hands in your coat pockets in repose
I know not whether to continue or flee
There are now one hundred more poems to compose
These halls that witness this shall be forsaken
Another four steps I have taken!
This is an eternity in an instant's haste
Like the thought of capturing those three years in a glass
The ones counted since last her presence traced
To think that I thought her lost, just like seasons pass
What shall these final steps impart?
Either reason to rejoice or an enemy of the heart.
We are at each other side, what gift of the day!
And for a moment our eyes, intertwined
In my lips there youll find the passion wished to convey
But damned are my abilities that keep my tounge confined
Your step halfway done carrying you through our hall
A fist at each of my arms and syllable stall.
If life has only this fruit to offer, then better I be dead
I shall make better fertilizer than ever a ladies man
Just as love seemed to flee down this hall, "hello" you've said
Just as born they are gone, ended just as began
Sweet words to be engraved inside these halls
A love story inside these sturdy walls
Author notes
My first poem written in over a year, yes writters block has taken its toll along with other things. this is a poem of an instant when that girl of whom youve dream of and yearned for is right in front of you and walking towards you. you think of what can happen while walking towards her an so does she towards you and while you are at each other's side there is a glance, there are emotions, of the "hi" she gave you of your nerves, of the million moments in an instant.
Please tell me what you think

Nice One... really enjoyed the read. :-)
it will always seem like an instant, if it's love, even if it's years :-D
