FLAMES OF FIRE(Octelle)

Missing image

Hissing, spitting, licking the trees

Dancing like devils in the breeze

Seething, writhing, burning hot

Drunk with power, caring not

Flames of mindless torment they

Eating up what’s in their way

Hissing, spitting, licking the trees

Dancing like devils in the breeze.

Ah, excellent and so full of description. You just make the fire come to life. It's like watching a little snippet of sound and color explode on the page.

    Thank you for your entry

Well done on this one. I really enjoyed it. I felt that you really personified the flames of the fire.

Excellent job on the form. They syllable count and rhyme scheme were right on and had a good flow. Well developed rhyme scheme as well.

I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.

    God Bless
    Tammy

I really love this! This is a form I have never tried and you composed it beautifully. (Yes I did count your syllables) I found the read to be fast; bam, bam, bam, just like the fire in the image. I can’t imagine a poem in this form being composed better.

    Love,
    Amera♥

    This is HOT!

I don't think I have ever heard a fire described the way you just did. This is wonderful, and very indicative of the wild fires we've had in this country lately. I liked the rhyme and the vivid description of fires' personality. Good luck in the contest.
