This is the way it was told to Me.
I am sure that it is true,
You are that pretty little Nurse.
That turned in the "Code Blue".
My Heart had stopped beating
no pulse could be found.
They all came running
to the Code Blue sound
When I awoke all that I could see,
Was a beautiful Angel looking down at me.
I closed my eyes and opened them again.
The Doctor said welcome back my friend.
That pretty little nurse
was holding My hand.
She said I Prayed and Prayed because I knew
That God still had something for you to do.
************
That little nurse visited me many times
during the three weeks I was in the Hospital.
To cheer me up and Pray with Me.
Today 14 years later I am free of the Blood Clots
that were in My Heart and Lungs.
I will always be thankful for that little Nurse
for her faith she had in God.
If you are wondering why I keep calling her that little Nurse.
She was about 22 years old weighed about 90 lbs,
and about 5 ft.6 in. tall.
But her Heart was bigger than her body and to me she was 10 ft. tall.
Thank you little Nurse
You will always have a special place in My Heart.

Seems we were both lucky to have our guardian angels watching over us... your sweet little nurse and my wonderful Sal... at times when we needed them most

A very special piece, Ed. Good luck in the contest

A big heart and working with it...
This is a wonderful write my friend
I think every patiënt notices if a nurse is working with her heart...I know I do...and I sometimes wished they all worked that way...
It could be also that ones heart is just bigger than the others heart, dispite of what we might weigh in lbs...
Hope all is well with you
Thank you for this wonderful write,
XXJeannette

Brilliant!
Bravo!! You have written such a beautiful poem from the heart and from your past. I am so glad you are here today. It's God's way of saying...'It's not your time yet...my son!'
This brought tears to my eyes. Thank you for sharing it with us all

this is a really cool write, about something that must have been so scary, but you have honoured the person who helped you through very nice with this, one thing tho, 1994 22 years ago? umm that doesn't seem right to me, yes i'm aware that doesn't matter it's the AN but i'm confused, best of luck in the contest
