Where I'm feeling the love
and smiling through my tears,
where I've got to stand
and face my fears.
Where people will come,
and people will go,
yet still there's some
you've still got to get to know.
Where I have the strength
to live for something worthwhile,
where my heart yearns to
make a broken heart smile.
Where a heart is a home,
so warm, so kind,
where no one is afraid
to leave something behind.
Where the past is the past
and we live for today,
by gones are by gones,
no grudges from yesterday.
Where I see passion
that can't go wrong,
where a heart of gold
can be a place to call home.

There is great meter and rhythm to this poem. It reads smooth as a cool drink on a hot day.
Thank you so much for entering, but imagine this piece as free verse...I am such a free-versey!
