New Hampshire’s granite:
cooled evolution
pockets represent gasps
like bubbling lung
when earth eye closes
for time taken
to blink
in bright first sun

curiously, i am currently reading a novel which begins with a focus on pre-Aztec scuplture. so i find a certain sense of kismet in this piece.
how wonderful that we all have different ears and find morning's music in various ways
thank you for this quality entry

made me think of how life can pass one by in the blink of an eye. "cooled evolution" what a great phrase that is, Carol...lots of light here on this page and a lovely original take on the contest theme.
thank you for this entry.
