I was a young man of sixteen
grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere
I got to spend thirteen weeks in Europe
what a roaring time I had while I was there
I have family spread out all over
and they all wanted to show me a good time
imagine a farm boy strong of arm soft of mind
thrown into the mix where everything does rhyme
To come back to hear the grass growing
and the rooster at the break of each dawn
I could no longer handle the silence
or the sight of that lonely moon that shone
I moved to the city for it to conquer
but it never lived up to my expectations
though much of good has come from it
it could never live up to all those sensations
