If we could sail 'cross glittering seas,
And feel the pleasant summer breeze...
I know your sadness might appease
And lullabies may gently ease
Our souls to mossy canopies,
Atop the mighty willow trees.
I ask the singing spirits, please!
Whisper to us when we'll seize
A day when no more hearts will freeze;
Instead, so close, we might knock knees.
You said you threw away the keys,
But I know better! I'll just tease
Until you give me comfort's squeeze,
And spirits croon our sweet reprise.

Thank you for your entry
Well this barely meets the prompt of the contest only in the first line, but you did well with the end rhymes and the flow was good.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless

Loved the flow and first lines...all was visual.

Cool! Love the rhyming in this. the flow works well too. Did you stick to a syllable count on this? It flows as if you did. Great Write!
