Conflicts in North and Southern Kivu have emerged
For over a decade
They have broken families,
destryed homes,
raped women
killed millions of people
Victims are hurt, sick, wounded,
abused, killed, robed
lists have no ends
Others fall to sicknesses
Cease fire have been kept and broken
No one seems to care about millions of victims
whose lives aren't the same anymore
Lists of patients are enourmous
All they want is change and hope for a better life
Pregnant women who don't get help
may die while giving birth
All of this time we've had war
It's not our fault
If you care about us
Don't reject us
If you wont to make this world a better place
help us
We're crying for hope
We want peace
Please tell me what you think

Not everyone is aware of the problems in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Most people prefer their video games and movies about murder. The world humans live in today is sick craving blood and power more than they crave peace.
Curiously I ask you why you say 'we' in the poem since your author page says you're originating country is the Rebublic of Congo and your native country is france? Do you now reside in D.R.C. ?

My mother comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo. I live in Denmark and as an African person, I think it is really disturbing to see such a country rich in minerals is in corrupted hands. The international community is doing very little, my native country included. It's really hurts.

What do you expect humans to do when 90% of the world is greedy and selfish? Yes, Peace is something that D.R.C. deserves. But so do many of the other countries of Africa in fact many Countries outside of Africa. International associations are limited in funds and man power, they are also limited in authority when it comes to delivering relief to innocent victims, if a country tells them no then they can't enter, if they have permission they are sometimes attacked and robbed.
Yes it hurts, yes it is greed that causes so much strife for DR Congo, also, it is a lack of proper organized government. Nothing we can do about that -for now- since Mobutu had been in power for so long his corruption has put Congo in very bad condition, such that won't allow for immediate healing.

The war in eastern Congo
The war in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo has gone on for over 10 years between Laurent Nkunda's rebels and the Congoelse government. Both sides don't seem to understand that it is the millions of people whose lives have changed matter most. The only both sides care about is power. Evryone among millions has a story to tell, but the government does not hear them. I think both sides are acting like children while there millions of people who have been killed. You can fight for power to day, but lives cannot be replaced.
