The End

The look in her eyes
will haunt me for the rest of eternity.
The sheer pain in those beautiful brown eyes
seemed so out of place.
And I was the one who had caused such misery.

What a lie I had told.
How could she even believe that
I didn’t want her?
That I didn’t love her?
She was the very reason to keep existing.

She deserves to be happy,
to have children.
To grow old with someone.
Someone who isn’t me.
I deserve the pain brought by these words.
This was my decision.

She will move on;
she will forget me;
she will be happy again.

I close my eyes,
and see her face.

The love of my life,
my sweet Bella.

    This is a beautiful write on Edward's emotion after leaving Bella. I must say, New Moon is probably my least favorite book in the series because Edward isn't in it much lol. But I do really like this! Thanks for entering and best wishes

    You capture Edward's perspective. The poem would be really awesome if you make it longer. I may be liking short poems. But, this poem seems to be a bit to short. Overall, great poem.
