like a tree in strong winds
I bent under the pressure

Bits of me cracking
and peeling away

but you looked at me and said
"now this just won't do"

And with your cute accent
and kind words of advice

you straightened me out
and put my back together;

    this is fantastic. i love tree imagery and you did an amazing job with it. you have great structure in this poem and everything is so tight and cohesive. it is very heartfelt too and special without being corny like a greeting card. i love this poem a lot.

    Aww now this is great! And two during the same day, too! I love the metaphor here and how succinct this poem is. "with your cute accent" - man DO I relate to that!! And it's such a... cute image! I'm glad to see you're doing better.
