Now And Forever

My tears are endless, watching you
So weak, so pale, but beautiful forever
Smiling through the darkest hours
For you know that there's always forever.

Hands entwined like we could never part
And that's the way that it will always be
Even when the life in your eyes disappears
You will forever and always be with me.

But the angel took your hands in his
And told you it was time to go
One last smile, one last breath
A snowflake lost in the falling snow.

I still hold you in my darkest hours
I still love you even though you're not here
I know you're beside me, protecting me
And I know that you'll always be near.

You're waiting for me, way up high
Smiling like you know we'll be together
At the end of time, through to the next
Souls entwined, now and forever.

    This did make me sad. The closest to making me cry. The story of death is always said.. but the way you wrote this tore my heart out.

    "One last smile, one last breath
    A snowflake lost in the falling snow."

    Those lines are beautiful.

    p.s. the only thing that turns me off a little bit is to see how many other contests it's entered into before this one was even judged.
