i have felt the hand of love
been caressed within its touch
known passion, stroked its heat
been lost within its arms
there i've known beauty untold
seen myself within its eyes
all my hopes and all my dreams
an illusion that memorized
i have loved and i've been hurt
been trapped within its web
unsure, confused and uncertain
of every single word
and as i stand alone again
regret it feeds my heart
all the trust we never shared
