I don't know why he's looking there...
last week he said: "I do declare!
That turkey is so fat, at least
he'll make a darn good decent feast!"
Perhaps this lampshade that I wear
will help me vanish in thin air ~
I hope and pray with all my might
that I'll be good as gone from sight!
A turkey's lot at Christmas time
is spiced with chestnut, crumbs and thyme,
for though we gobble, peck and fuss
we always end up in a truss.
So now I stand here, quiet and still,
beneath this lampshade hat until
he gives up hunting round for me ~
his tasty, fattened, yule Turkey...

This is cute, the turkey's point of view. The meter is all nice tetrameter except line 4.
We have these traditions to keep each year; I wonder what a vegetarian Christmas would be like. The turkeys would be pleased, I'm sure!

All Hail The Reigning Humor Goddess
I'd seen the picture as a stand-alone funny, but this is a priceless addition to the photo. Very nice enjambment in the last verse and intereting use of tildes... in both cases they almost imply, "Poof! Gone".
Anyway, three more turkeys disguised as bunnies!

Excellent rhyme and flow... mixed with a wonderful humor... A perfect blend... Well done and best of luck...
