Many times they’ve often said
they hear voices in their head,
crying out, all must be heard
fears they bring are so absurd.
No sanctuary or peace is found
when all these voices are inbound,
millions calling twisting thought
drives those sane to be distraught.
Clarity a waste, so many shout
the brain receives one mighty clout,
your mind is pounding hard inside
as with each thought the skull collide.
It’s not just them that are drove mad
with voices screaming left so sad,
receptors for those now past on
I hear them too once they have gone.

Thank you for your entry in the contest. An interesting take on the prompt, voices of the past calling out to the living, or just voices in a mind that's disturbed, either way, an enjoyable read.
All the best...Sue

Brian this is a very deep write about the goings on within one's head when so much is on their mind, and you of all people have had so much on your's with being unwell and all, you have penned this with a very deep clarity as always, Josie
