Love Sick

We love too much
you and I,

under the blanket
of contentment, together tonight.

Under the stress, living, sore backs
and split ends, we indeed
love.

Under the breath, our memories
suppressed with appetites, none
sexual, yet

      effectual.

See the abstractness of it all?

We smile a bit of grudge, so
it’s sincere in theory—

but we are Christians.

So we believe what we feel; under
the tragedies of what our
children may think—

we pray for them.

Under the peace of moment,
this moment; we both knew
too much love

was addicting.

    interesting

this is a twist, very well done. it's starts warm and fuzzy then leads to questioning and introspection and kinda leaves you on the train tracks staring at the the caboose wondering what the hell just happened.
