The Wolf

the wolf is knocking at my door
I am doing my best to dematerialize
he continuously drums on endlessly
as tears rain down my face

the wolf is banging at my door
with empty pockets, I cannot answer
his incessant noise grating nerves
festering with pent up fears

the wolf is pounding at my door
no longer taking no for an answer
I just cannot find the strength
to face his wrath and eviction

the wolf leaves a note upon the door
"give me the money or get out"
with three children and no where to go
a mother's worst fears borne to life

I think that the ideal of this peom is sad.. a woman who can not pay her bills, who has young children... but I think the usage of "the wolf" drew away from your message and would have been better without.
