Pan left spinning hopes
in the walls of his Labyrinth -
dancing days sliding between
last year's eulogies
so she sings
poised with opera in her eyes
while the world spins;
dreams tasting of vertigo
to hold her tight through
wooden lipped confessions
so she screams
painted in shades of life
with tears that taint like jet
and she ached
because pain wasn't supposed to be beautiful

Awww, this is beautiful, my dear! As always, you have dazzled everyone here with your talent, and I don't understand why you think it's anything but spectacular.
Very well done, love ♥

This was truly an intriguing take on the image prompt. The depth you began to create seemed to lose potency, though there was such a powerful grip still being unraveled within. That last line is indeed amazing!!! Nice write!

If you see my muse give it a kick up the butt for me, I haven't seen it in months.
Thank you

I really like this. Especially "because pain wasn't supposed to be beautiful".
