Starlight shines down above titled head,
eyes downcast upon the fragile petals of the earth-
cherishing the death of roses and daffodils alike
as the birds sing, nestled cozily in their nests.
Metallic taste, bitter regret-
fills my mouth as I watch the words appear upon this page.
Wash clean alabaster skin
of all the things I did today.
Violet bruise covers his face,
and I'll touch it oh so tenderly-
trying to pretend that I don't know
just what happened today.
Inaudible whispers down the halls-
they'll speak of what I've done.
Of the ruin I put them through-
and I'll smile just the same.
The Willow tree protects me here,
from their stares and voices same.
Untouched by the notions he puts forth,
all the reasons why I blanked.
They just don't seem to understand-
after all they'll never know
just what it's like to be
Crazy like Me.

Livingemptyspaces
I will have my regrets of what I did today- but I will hide them with my momentary forgetfulness.
