The Rut Begins

Missing image
Shuffle the deck, draw three cards.
Will I find just bones and tears?
Crushing me as they appear.

Three cards within the circle lie,
dark as midnight, bleached bone dry.
My hand reaches, trembling...Ah! who waits to speak first?

Draig-Talamh, She who brings to light,
that which has been suppressed, hidden from sight.
Oh my sister, I am listening......

Nathair the Adder, sexual creature that you are
carry me between the realms show the desire within,
Snake-speak softly whispered, what.........

Corr the Crane, patient rich in hidden knowledge
lead me to that  tender place where passion and magic meet.
wait I hear but.........

These  three walk beside me now,
another voice must be heard,
one more card must be drawn.

Dahm, my Stag, you draw me by your scent.
If heaven did not dwell with in us each.
I would dare to think you heaven sent.

Knowing
you are here with me,
brings such palpable ecstasy.

Draw me out
Shed my skin
light the fire

The rut begins.
What has the rut to do with war?
Listen carefully.........

Only the strongest takes the prize
both are drawn from the same estate
vision alone determines fate.

I  follow............
