...and I lead
somewhere before your follow
and it didn't suit your strengths,
but it's left alongside me to think,
so I believe, today, that you play me hard,
while I wait for your lead, so I may follow.
sorrow.pity.fear
I stop to think
I tapdance in memories
awaiting applause that is reserved
for the kinfolk,
the kind ones that have nothing to lose,
and I wait,
ever so patiently,
for judgement to be cast
while my wounds fester carelessly,
(effortlessly)
and you stand there,
so tall,
elevated to higher levels
because when your levees break
nothing is damaged
but my project is drowned
under your scrutiny
