Candle flickering slight breeze passes by
Table set for two, as she waitng alone.
Reading latest novel looks up and sighs,
bell tone sounds as she answers her cell phone.
Looks puzzle, puts phone down, picks up her book
Waiter asks “…are you ready to place order?”
“Prime rib with garden salad, medium-well cooked
And I’ll start with a bowl of clam chowder.”
Pretends to read, her thoughts running around,
He'll be late, why did she agree to meet?
Worriedly she readjusts, feeling confound.
Her meal arrives and she begins to eat.
Turning slightly, sees him asking for her.
Dare he be so handsome, as the tears blur!
