Once long ago
When all the world was so long away
I remember your eyes
Trying to comfort my heart
But now they are long gone, but I hope you've remembered
What I've said, not forgotten words
Some days in that time, the whole of norms wanted me away
To be nothing forevermore, not wanting to do anything
But God gave me Himself, and then your heart as well
Maybe I'm more than memory, I still think about you often
Somehow I may be more than just forgotten words
When I saw you in the sunlight, my heart was touched with longing
Even at night, the world seemed to turn into a new day
Darkness flew away
Even though were now, beyond holding distance
Maybe God will bring us quietly back together
But until that day, maybe my expressions won't fall away
Something able to be remembered, not forgotten words

Love and longing
Our longing for love brings out in us a beauty in words that we might not have known before. Well done, thank you and good luck. -
Well done
This is a great write, I could feel the longing. Good job. One thing "Somehow I maybe more" I think it should be Somehow I may be more.
