A thought of life without you
sends shivers down my my spine,
for what I feel for you, my love,
is no less than holy or divine.
Your arms are all I need around
me to have a haven safe from harm.
You are a plain-spoken man. . .I find
that part of your dear charm.
My heart leaps when I hear your name.
And fear grips me when I ponder
the hateful thought that you might
tire of me someday and long to wander.
Without you I am an empty vessel
with no form or meaning or reason to be.
Clutched in fear of losing you my heart
cries out to you to never, ever leave me.
You fulfill my life, my darling one.
Without you I would lay down and die.
Love may be a tender passion to the
heart, but it can lead the lover to cry.
