Earth
cannot
fight water;
sea waves drown it;
rain makes mud of it.
Neither can it fight fire,
for forest fires burn it brown.
Three elements, earth, fire, water,
constantly at war with each other;
is it not a wonder that earth survives?

Thank you for your entry
Earth was made to withstand all of nature's fury. God made it that way. What will ultimately destroy Earth is not nature, but mankind. Water and fire merely renew the Earth.
Nicely done on the form, you followed the syllable count perfectly. Nice flow and structure. Good job with the prompt as well.
I encourage you to keep writing to read and comment.
God Bless
