I am a star;
shining, shimmering, splendid.
I am the rain from the heavens;
awe-inspiring, amazing, abstract. . .
I look down;
people are gazing at me and my brothers.
The familiar prayer is being chanted:
"star light, start bright, first star I see tonight. . ."
I flit across the sky;
dancing with my lover, the Moon.
She is beautiful and I shall ever yearn for her;
however, I am unworthy. . .
I am a beacon of hope;
life and joy radiate from me.
I am a guide to the lost;
I will light your way. . .
Author notes
This was another class assignment from my senior year. We had to write from another person's perspective, as that person.
