Mi Amor's Fall

My dear, what have you done?
I tried to make sense of your actions by petty images of ravens and having faith in society,
but all I feel is your cold touch.

Where are you?
Where have you gone?

It's been months since I've seen your smile.
So much sorrow remains.

In your pillow,
you wept for nights.

I remember asking you of it,
but you just shook your head.

I tried to hold you while your pain took the best of you,
then you pushed away from me and ran out the door.

I knew it was something that you had to do,
but I never thought that you would leave me for so long.

My mind refuses to take in the fact that you are gone,
I know it was more than just your running that caused this ill fate.

It was meant to happen.
One day you'd know.
And you'd fade away within the night.

I could only hope before that you would return,
because my love from you was so strong that it blinded my logic.

But now I must come to terms with which was bound to never change.
I love you mi amor, but I must let you go.
