My trip to the zoo


With brown eyes gazing across glass windows
Looking to lazy to lift its head
I watch a gorilla almost hypnotised.

But just as a turn my head to move on
It raises its thumb in our Australian way
And gives me a wink good bye.

I sware I'll never forget it as long as I live.
