a journey traveled playfully through time
filled with adventures of life
instilling a youthful vitality
precious as a childs' first steps
as growth encompasses
beneath the nurturing of love
in the midst of warmth's caress
mellowing our souls
just as the seasons come and go
our lives metamorphose
as the years evolve
harbinger differences anew
shadows of yesteryear pass
drifting softly aloft
deep within out thoughts
memories never to fade.
