In the shadows I melt
leaking tears of moonlit drizzle
down a pale face I was dealt
they fall into the shadows, they sizzle
In the shadows I lurk
with shameful shrugged shoulders
wearing a forced fickle smirk
captured in the shadows, the beholders
In the shadows I play
smashing all my hopes for dreams
into a battery of voiding array
dragged into the shadows, letting out scalded screams
In the shadows I reside
dancing to the silence of twilight
resting peacefully in the suffering it supplied
I wait in the shadows, underneath midnight
In the shadows I swim
floating on a silhouette of a fear
of drowning in the waters of the reapers grim
treading in the shadows stream, I try not disappear
In the shadows of darkness I wander
over hungry hilltops and through venom vines
I'm tired of the darkness now, it burns into blunder
caged forever in the shadows, I'm a prisoner to its confines
