They say hate is a strong word
It is, and I mean it
Your words, always slurred
Make me want to spit.
Your blood-shot eyes
Are full of red, full of crime
You never answer my cries
Never give me any time.
As I glare at your cruel face
Anger boils in my veins
Tears shall never erase
What my broken heart contains.
Hateful words you throw at me
Broil my anger once hidden
Hate was gone once when we,
Made things that were forbidden.
You, I hate, that turned against
Our joyful love once had
But hate commenced, and soon unfenced
An anger that made me mad.

This is very touching, and I can relate to every word.

I have a friend I care for very much (too much i suppose), yet I fear being around her when she has her heroin fix, and becomes another person who's easily frustrated and discontent with me.
I miss her alot, but dare not seek her company.
This is not quite the same as the as the story in your write, but the emotional discord is much the same.

Well spoken. It is sad to have felt pure hate. Beautifully written love. ♥

This is so sad, and I am sorry for hearing this, it can't be easy hating someone you first liked.
Best of luck

This has a lot of strengths - I like the occasional internal rhyme, for example. It reminds me a little bit of John Cooper Clarke's "Tw*t".

My
The sadness of a booze filled relationship that often leaves both hearts broken. Very powerful write poet.
