Amen

Decorations bling
Can't mean much of anything
To homeless without!

Tis the season now
To show both Earth and Heaven
United in compulsions.

Emmanuel's cloak
Protects the lost and weary.
In comfort and joy!

    WOW!

You have said so much in such a short poem. The whole piece is absolutely beautiful and so meaningful, but I especially loved the last stanza. It is so sad to think of those who do not have a home to go to for Christmas, or worse yet, any day of the year. The only warmth they may feel is to be wrapped in the Cloak of Jesus. You have shown us what helping our fellow man is all about in such eloquent words. Jesus did tell us in Matthew 25:40, "Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." (KJV) This is a poem well written and I wish you the best in the contest. God Bless, Your friend in Poetry, Mysty Rain
