Gracious lessons taught-Brenden Foster

Echoes through out the heavens
joyous proclamations'
a soon to be newly arrived child.
No longer frail, but strong and freed,
uplifted unto wings of immortal angel.

Gliding upon the breeze
gentle earths atmosphere.
Released from mortal confines
Of Leukemia.
Hear his tender sigh and boyish laughter
drifting through the currents tickling his hair.

Free to fly unto his heavenly home.
Walking in the air
treasuring your every prayer,

responding to his dying wish;

“Please help me feed the homeless”
was powerfully fulfilled.

Echoed through out the heavens
joyous proclamations'
of a soon to be newly arrived child.
Blessed by your loving
actions, words, and answered plea.

No longer frail, but strong and freed
soaring heights of heaven
kissing midnight stars
with a grateful smile and boldest of all heart.

Thankyou little Brenden Foster
for sharing your eternal courage

and honorable lessons.
Your short life graciously taught us all.
Amen. So be it.

   Brenden Foster uplifted  unto Heaven, Friday November 21, 2008.

Brenden was uplifted into heaven the day of this poem,

Friday, November 21, 2008.

The previous night I could not get that song out of my mind,

I could see Brenden soaring all across the world on the tender

wings of heavens love.

Contest prompt: Reality versus Ilusions

perhaps,

Death is the boldest of all realities.

Not how we leave this world, but we leave behind.
Realistically, we pause,  no longer dis-illusioned.
I think we make peace with it,

and I am so honored to gift to you this little child.

May you hear his lessons well.

Tribute to a little boys dream,
And his dying wish;

“and when I leave….
I wish to become an angel,
And do more in heaven….
then I could do in this world.”
Brenden Foster, 8 years old. Seattle, Washington

    Superb plus

    Aye, 'tis a fine write and tribute. There are too many politicians, in too many American cities who play games with peoples lives by cutting the financial resources of those agencies that work with the homeless; the poor, and the working poor. There is no excuse for not solving the problem of homelessness.

    Hopefully, the words of poets, and others can defeat the callused actions of politicians.

    A beautiful but very sad poem about a little boy with big dreams. Perhaps not so sad in the fact that his dreams were fulfilled and he now has become a little Angel in Gods realm. You wrote this so well and really wrenched at the heart. I have to congratulate you highly for this piece. I see nothing here that would need any changing. Well done indeed.

    I run the gambit of emotions here ...

    Because to see this bold young man,
    blessing a crying world,
    hurting and in-her-greatest-time-of-need,
    and God, having His Hand and still small Voice,
    being felt and-heard through him
    by all those who would and can ...
    and the hungry being fed, given,
    freedom from their moments of hunger,
    shown understanding,
    love and offered new hope,
    and provided comfort,
    answered laboriously with brilliance,
    and bold desire of heart
    through the product of faith,

    All I can say is It is never impossible, and it is all for God's glory ...

    Thank you for your courage and faith Brenden Foster ...

    Thank you for hearing, seeing, feeling and listening to your heart, "What a lesson you have given. You helped to changed the world! You truly are heavenly" ...

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Thank you again for your wonderful words of love that you have shared with all of us here in your work ears2hearyou ...
    Peace to you ...
