I liked the originality of it, something you don't see every day.

Life, parting, losing from a childs point of view, world shattered, Mother emotionally drained and Father nowhere to be seen, few discuss where he could be, life goes on as a silent nightmare for little children unable to reach out to parents under stress. A legion of little broken abandoned children created a crisis of trauma in epidemic proportions in the form of many social deviations, atheism, extremism and general anger and hatefulness towards society.

I am reading excerpts from C.S.Lewis's ''The Great Divorce'' and the division of heaven into hell it creates for the victims, mostly children who carry deep issues to adulthood. You have taken this emotive and seldom discussed topic and modern day evil and created a wonderfully poetic song, beautiful, well done, god bless.

The way the you made the listener wait for the line "everything would be right" so that the word right fell on the downbeat and the minor chord was just beautiful.
"I hope it cleans out all the words I'm sure they never meant..." That line is ridiculously gorgeous.

This song is just awesome. Great job. Really.

The lyrics are so sad and so true, the children pay the price for our mistakes. The singing and music are great, too and this is a good idea, if only I could write music and not just words.

So sad. I really like the rhyme and just the sound of the guitar...it makes kind of a meloncholy echo sound. Nice job although a heart breaker.

The octave is different btwn. this and the other version isn't it? Hmmm...I think the other works a li'l better with the tone of your original poem, bringin' out the solemness better. At any rate it's cool.
I hope your enjoyin' the weekend. , Dannie

The country and western music is perfect for the lyrics, and the child's view of the break-up of parent's marriage is very well realised - sad without being too sentimental, and totally authentic with the child blaming themself for the problems.

I'm very impressed with the quality of the recording, and the standard of the music and vocals. That, at least, is one happy marriage!
