Winter Feastival

Time is swilled over the tongue to embrace
taste of warm brandy.  Treasures of the past
caught entwined in cob web to remember scent
of roses now pressed dry from natures past.
Shadow share where love falls in lilac and morning dew.
Overwhelmed that sin can not be hidden in barren
field; age dims mind, once young where folklore was among
laughter  shared shards in heated loft.

She carries winter frock to kindle jagged memories
while love drifts over endless iced patches.
Strawberry blond hair floats on the wind.
Enchantress hidden beneath gossamer...tip-toe
over snow drift, welcomes the beginning
winter chills. The trees stripped of autumn
cover, branches caress light snow flurries
as excitement builds for Winter Feastival.

Her whisper with frosted breath, gathered
from; Storyteller Creed of Robert Fulghum...
I believe that immagination is stronger than
knowledge--myth is more potent that history--
dreams are more powerful than facts--hope always
triumphs over experience--laughter is the cure
for grief--love is stronger than death.

This is a great take on the prompt and I loved how you included his words in your poem. It is a beautiful quote. This poem is full of rich images that draw on life's rich tapestry. I liked your choice of language and the way you developed the theme of this poem. Some fine poetry tucked away in this. Best of luck in the contest.
