Grandpa and Nana

They may not have much-
But they're willing to share it with me.
Love at its best and truest form,
I don't always feel deserving.
They still see me as their baby girl
Offering everything in their power,
So that I can attain all that I want in the world.
Protective, sensible and cautious they are
Prayerful, devoted and gracious,
Words spoken through wisdom as valuable as a falling star.
They are mine and I am theirs
The two parts of my heart,
So precious and fair.
So thankful and they are who I treasure
The love between us
Has no earthly measure...

    Wonderful

Now I can really saythat this poem is amazing. I was raised by my grandparents and they really looked out for me growing up. I know exactly how loving grandparents can be and it's amazing because they are more loving than our parents. You are really inspiring and I had to print this poem out so that my grandmother could read it. I know she'll love it because she is the one who taught me about poetry in the first place. Keep writing and I'll keep reading.

It's a nice write, no doubt about that.. However It has not got much emotion in it.. No special moments, best days ever or just those unforgettable memories with them.. Maybe you could do that.. Good work tho..

    Sweet!

As the saying goes, "you might not always
get what you want, but you get what you need.
Life seems very unfair many times, but
when we step back and look at things
from another vantage point, we realize
that we have everything it takes to
    make a successful journey.
Thus is the phrase,"be thankful for
    what you have." Great piece.
    Have a Happy Thanksgiving!
