Unwilling to adapt he lives alone
There'll never be a lady of his dreams
He'll always face the future on his own
No partnership promoting all his schemes
Companionship's impossible my friend
Until you learn sometimes you have to bend.

Excellent. Plenty of words of wisdom in this one. Flexibility is truly a stepping stone to success in life, as well as ease of stress in every day life as we can always be certain that things will change.
Wonderful poem to this prompt. Thank you for these wise words. There are many who would do well to heed them. ~Pamela

Hmmmmmmm yes and it's funny cuz it almost feels like your talking about someone I know. Well done and good luck.

Unique and creative take on a difficult prompt. I rather liked the message in this one. I dare say this also goes for success in current relationships! This is a nicely penned piece! Great job. Good luck in the contest!

Sorted. Something like this:
He’s unadaptable, and lives alone,
Companionless, submerging into dreams;
He'll always face the future on his own -
No partnership promoting all his schemes.
Such loneliness is yours my foolish friend,
Until you learn there comes a time to bend.
Good as it stands, even though it's 44.

Well done - nice edit - rather miss the wistfulness of line 5, though.
