Oh, the thoughts can wander
when privy to a public scene
of affections on grand display.
Cheeks splashed a vivid tinge,
tingles dance ballet across skin
as fingers shimmy up a hem,
reveal three inches of cream
atop coffee silken lace
and heartbeats are replaced
by sighs of remembrance,
hers or mine I have to ask
with jealousy masked
slowly shuffling past, these
affections on grand display.

There are places of indecision alone the way to maturity where propriety and desire collide. Memories and the want to rekindle with youth's abandonment conflict with what the Jones's might think. Personally, I believe the day there is judgment without any conflict is the day we are truly old and have lost touch.
Well Said and well written

One of the constants of human nature is seeming freedom of youth and the propriety of their elders who look back with memories. Either they envy or they judge, depending on their own circumstances, but they do not smile often enough. Good luck in this contest. Peace, Liz

A great little turn of events in this one. I enjoyed the softer rhymes that played this vision. Nicely done. A fine entry to this contest. Best of luck in this round. ~Pamela

Isn't there some kind of law about that?
This imagery is great, I like the cappuccino and everyone loves a lover. Best of luck, sweets!
