A child searching for the aproval of a mother
Something she will never get
Waiting wanting always yurning
Everyday grows harder still
Loving a family that just ignores her
And hateing herself because they don't care
Years gone by without a father
In her heart she loves him still
No matter what he does that hurts her
One by one her tears fall down
Until a man came and rescued her
Reminded her that she was worth while
Begining a relationship she never wants to end
Ending her feelings of selfish loathing and despair
Dareing her to be a better person
Seeing herself in color for the first time
Careing, shareing, loveing herself
Realizing that she doesn't need them
Yurning no more for their approval
Instead, being happy, feeling free
Now she can be at peace
God looked down on this lucky girl
Giving her a gift of love
On this day she was truly blessed
Daily she looks down at her angel
Wondering if she is truly worthy
Every day loveing her baby more
Every night thanking god for her new family
Pleasant dreams instead of nightmares
So much to be thankful for
