Shadows that shine in unholy light
Outlines sculptured in divine highlights
Like the sadness behind your half-smiling lips
It's all credits and forfeits; hit or miss
Silhouettes and shadows each just the same
You never take a momement to ever explain
Hidden flaws deep inside a perfect pearl
Hidden claws fastened deep inside your world
Silhouettes and shadows
Like the voices inside your head
Reveal your deepest, dark despair
And leave you all for dead
Scars that reflect your grace
Hide the pain you often face
A cheap imitation of a perfect smile
An opposite reflection of your style
Silhouettes and shadows
Like the voices inside your head
Reveal your deepest, dark despair
And leave you all for dead
Silhouettes and shadows
Like the voices inside your head
Reveal your true colours after all
And leave you wanting so much more instead...

some interesting form ideas here, the change of rhyme scheme distracted me and I am unsure about the repetition but I like the content and a lot of the poetry..
Thanks for the entry
