Is yellow really yellow?
How do we know what yellow is?
Our parents told us.
How do they know what yellow is?
Their parents told them.
What if . . .
They're all wrong and
yellow isn't yellow at all.
And in fact, turquoise.
What if the yellow I see is
not the same
as the yellow you see?
Is it more of a mustard
or more of a canary
color?
Or what if . . .
it's all in our heads?
Author notes
We kinda had a philosophical discussion in class, about perception and what things are. The example the teacher used was the color yellow. Take it as you will.

Heh...I've had thoughts like these before, but I guess it all boils down to, yellow is what we percieve yellow to be. =] Anyways, nice poem.

This might sound, harsh, but it's not, take it as it is, I think you can do better. =) Broaden the perspective or take another angle, the poem is simple and the line, "I wonder if yellow is really yellow" could generate much the same feed back.
Otherwise, it's awesome

You're well on your way to being a talented lil writer ^_^

It makes me head hurt because I have now started thinking far to deeply about the colour yellow, but I like it
