Cosmic marble rolling across the ebony sea,
followed by a fiery golden tail,
earthbound eyes watch and silently wonder,
will this tiny spec of shimmer ever becoming bigger
be the one to fall from the sky
and bring the power of the sun to decimate their terrain?
Heart pounds faster as the menace moves so swiftly closer,
trembling from the remembrances of doom’s lore,
in the distance the final kiss of space rock shakes the land with a detonation,
what life and foliage trapped in its crater consumed by the collision.

I really like the overall tone of this piece. It is well written, the imagery is top notch and consistent and I could easily see this going into a full blown story. Excellent work overall on this piece.

in the distance the final kiss of space rock shakes the land with a detonation,
what life and foliage trapped in its crater consumed by the collision.
