Raindrops fall on the wilted rose
My sullen heart weeps for her, so
Her lovely smile yet keeps me going
My heart still beats only for her
Teardrops fall down a face of beauty
Anger hangs heavy in broken words
Hearts regress to their gloomy fate
All feelings arise we once deferred
All alone sits one black rose
Deprived from all of natures care
Yet the rain has come to bring new life
Like wilted roses, we start anew
All else we think matters is soon forgotten
Unbroken remains our mortal affinity
We let the rain wash bitter feelings away
As I fade into oblivion with you

for once i tried to apply structure -- i counted syllables and rhymed the end lines of the stanzas to a purpose. i dont know if its any good. and perhaps ive been saying that alot lately, but thats what happens when you stray from your usual
