A Winter Wonderland

Shoveling snow down the driveway,
All bundled up, with my hat, gloves,
Boots, and coat on, I'm barely able to talk,
I just nodded  my  head without any shoves.

I get done and put my shovel away,
Now it's time to play.

I run and jump into snow drifts,
Like leaves in the fall,
I make snowmen and women,
And Angels on the ground and wall.

I make snow forts and snowballs,
Then my mother calls.

I run to the house all frozen and cold,
But I don't care I had so much fun,
I smell hot cocoa and a good book calling,
I even grab a bagel bun.

I grab a  book and some cocoa,
And plop down on the couch where my bro thinks I'm loco.

I don't care much I have a good book,
Some cocoa, and my cats,
It's comfy and quiet,
And the perfect temp. on the thermostat.

I love winter and snow,
But I wonder what it was like a long time ago.

Author notes

I like snow, cocoa, and books. I also think winters the prettiest season because of the snow! I love writing about what I love and I love challenges. Thanks for the challenge and the contest!

This brought back some childhood memories of building snowmen and snowball fights and digging a pit in a six foot drift and getting yelled at for it

This was cute and had a nice flow to it. You wrote about some of the best aspects of winter.

    Thanks for entering!
