Ask me what ThanksGiving means,
And I'll tell you a sweet lie.
I'll tell its about family;
And thanking god for your life.
don't get me wrong,
To you that may be true;
But to me....
Its all about the food.
Pumpkin pie and turkey;
Sweet patatos and yams.
Nothing can fill my hunger;
Sorry, it's just who I am.
So when thursday rolls around;
Don't ask me what mine was like.
I'll just smile and laugh,
Because all that food was quiet a sight.

OK. Yes, this is true. We should be thankful but really the day turns out to be mostly about food. This had a touch of humor to it and I liked that.

Lol. I'm one of those people that you mentioned in the top as seeing the day as a time to be with family and thank God for everything he has given us but I fully agree with you on the rest of it. Bring on the turkey!!!!!! Great job and thanks for entering my contest!
