what is the quality of that moment then?

like when you jump from an airplane
and you are in the clouds,
the clouds zooming past you
and you plunging
into a screaming tunnel of clouds…

like when icicles turn brittle your eyelashes,
your jacket flapping frenzied,
the wind blasting through you,
cleansing,
cleansing beyond all cleansing…

like when you think not of heaven or earth;
you think not of anything,
neither perchance the parachute failing,
nor whether you remember buckling
the whole thing on.

what is the quality of that moment then?

    Interesting

I like it. It makes you think. It has a nice flow. I like that your last line is your title. Nice touch. Nice work. Good luck.

    I have not jumped

from an airplane, but I have made a leap of faith. It is like this, somehow the parachute appears from nowhere when one is thinking of the wonder of flight. I love your description, the detail and words you chose, "Icicles turn brittle your eyelashes".

This is inspired by the thoughts on meditation we have shared. Meditation is such a moment of total destruction, when nothing exists except the pure ecstasy of being. On rare occasions I have touched its fringes.

I disagree on terms, Venu. Meditation to me is the means of getting to that moment, which inspires us to practise.
