they are here
do not kid yourself,
even a poetry site
is not a safe haven
insignificant names
have read beautiful words
or the saddest sorrow
with just a hint
of innocence and truth,
their own world evolves
secure, they hide
behind faceless avatars,
lend an ear to everyday life
hoping a little time
will ensure trust
ulterior motives unseen,
never crossing lines
of propriety in IM's
at just the right moment
trust secures messengers
of this new age
no moderators
to hear the screams
when innocence is lost
I listen
to the gut feeling
when a new name
flies a red flag
read poems now
with open eyes
knowing...
they are here

Wow.....to thnk of how true this entry really is, is a tad bit sobering ~
I hope all young people get to read this ~
I don't think it's the best entry in the contest, but I do think it has genuine merit to be placed into Spotlight on AP....good job and God bless youi!

The greatest protection is being centered in God and self, knowing that you don't need any of the things they shill.
This is a great word from the wise for those who want too much to have someone on their side.
Love, Tom B.
